Fair trade - not holy at all

I sat through an hour and a half class on fair trade and all I got was a bunch of law. It was interesting law, but no one invoked the holy in anyway. No idea why eating ethically is not a holy subject, it seems to me that in the rabbinic tradition there is great care put into the sources of our objects of mitvah.

Mission

Hello bloggosphere, I am here on a mission to record everytime anyone uses the word 'holy' at the Hazon food conference. This project is inspired by my Leviticus class at Hebrew College, where we have been studying the voice of the Priestly voice in the Torah. 'P' as it sometimes called is extremely interested in the details necessary for creating Jewish ritual.

My posts will hopefully be many short tweets where I note the way the context of the word and reflect on it.
